Dezvelkito is a Haitian multi-talented artist and serial entrepreneur who began his career as an independent filmmaker in Hollywood. Renowned for his works in Trapped: Haitian Nights starring Kenya Moore, Miguel Nunez. Jr. and Vivica A. Foxx, and Life Outside of Pearl with Jimmy Jean Louis his collection of melodic recordings tells stories of human growth, development, and love. Voodoo Woman, Freedom, and Love2Dance are among his most popular musical works. He recently released U Make Me Wanna Cry, a Lovers Rock reggae song about a man who is cheated on by his fiancée.
Damian Lemar Hudson was born June 1st, 1989, in Washington State to Lorna and Ron, parents who were both military servicemembers stationed at Fort Lewis at the time. Damian was raised in Carterville, Georgia, and began singing at New Hope Baptist Church from a very young age.
Damian’s father gifted the young Damian a Casio keyboard for Christmas, which established the foundation necessary to embark on his journey as a singer-songwriter.
Having experience with songwriting at an early age, Damian Lemar Hudson attended a performing arts school, namely Woodland High School, and became the lead of two bands. Subsequently, he went on to study music and performing arts at the University of Arizona.
During Damian’s freshman year in college, he began experimenting with music production. Two years later, Damian released his first mixtape, which caught the attention of his long term collaborator and friend, Logic, shortly afterwards.
After graduating from the University of Arizona, Damian had already composed several projects and had even written scripts that attracted the likes of Tony-award-winning Stew, which landed Damian a one-way ticket to New York City.
In New York, Damian Lemar Hudson spent five years performing gigs as a singer, actor, songwriter, musician, and member of half of an independent blues duo group called Sham. Following tremendous success as a renaissance man, Damian traveled abroad from the United States to play guitar with Stew and Beg in Abu Dhabi.
Damian joined Logic on his world tour where he met his wife in London in the year 2018. Damian has worked on numerous projects with both Logic and the camp. In 2019, Damian worked on his debut project, “Damian Lemar Hudson LP,” which was engineered by Bobby Campbell and Gerry Brown. The project was executive produced by 6ix and led Damian in 2019 to produce for various artists.
In 2020 while in London, Damian and his wife celebrated the birth of their first child. The worldwide lockdown resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic forced Damian to reside in London where he continued to produce, seldom showcasing his productions on his Twitch channel. In 2021, he and his family relocated to Los Angeles. Damian released his debut single “Miles.” In 2022, he released the “Damian Lemar Hudson LP”. He is currently working on a hip-hop project titled “#More Success.” The music project is projected to be released near the end of 2022.
Damian’s influences are diverse: Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Nina Simone, Prince, Jimi Hendrix, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Kanye West, Andre 300, Yasin Bey, Toro Y Moi, Flying Lotus, Photography & Art have shaped him as a musician.
Ghanaian born Chicago based producer, GhanamanB, follows up on his previous release about his experiences in California with an eclectic six-track tape about his love and hate relationship with music and the music industry. Every track walks us through important moments of his journey. He combines his love for jazz, hip-hop, soul, and RnB giving us a taste of his versatility. GhanamanB's primary production technique is sampling inspired by J Dilla, Q Tip, Madlib, 88 Keys, and DJ Premier for the scratches to name a few. He also explores his developing skills on the alto saxophone as we hear on some tracks such as Follow and Cherry. One: An Experiment by GhanamanB is the first of a series of experimental tapes that will be released by the versatile artist. It features Ghanaian duo artists Grumpy Sunday, Chicago’s very own The Third, HXRY, and guitarist BJ.
